The first battle for the Heretic Titan Yard
Freebootahs were seen racing across the industrial plains that surround the Heretic Titan Yard. A small battalion of Space Wolves was stationed nearby to provide cover for their Freeblade ally, the Fang of Fenris, while the knight was using the machinery to refuel and repair, after clearing the yard from the original heretic garrison.
The Freebootahs deployed a virus of orky design that scrambled the weapon systems and immobilized the knight titan on the repair dock. Not able to distinguish friend from foe, it started firing indiscriminately against friend or foe.
Under fire from their knight ally, and hearing the roaring of engines moments later after seeing the smoke clouds of their runners on the horizon, lord Guthorm looked over his friends and knew that they had to sacrifice it all in chances of freeing the freeblade knight from the virus.
Almost in unison the first incoming shells of the wounded knight's battlecannon came in just as the sky warriors could hear the ork screams of WAAAAGHHHH!
Kaptain Scrap'yar Gutz led the speedwagh with the goal of stealing away the titan yard so they could build "proppa stompas"
Atop a stony ridge overseeing the battlefield, the sniper squad and a grey hunter support squad made their stance against the overwhelming horde of greenskin
The orks outnumbered the Space Wolves with 2000 points vs only 1250pts, but Lord Guthorm had his orders from high command to defend the yard, and he was bloodbound to their Freeblade ally and free him from the Ork Virus
Cans sped throug the centerfield under heavy fire from the Long Fangs at the ridge. The Plasma cannons melting away their scrap armor. But they relentlessly advanced forward regardless of enemy fire.
Freebootahs rush forward, spewing flames all around and killing lots of scouts and grey hunters, despite their armor and the cover offered by the industrial mess of the heretic titan yard.
The Bloodclaws make a charge against the orks, but are quickly surrounded and burned crisp from the overwhelming amount of flamers the nobs brought to bear.
The wolf lord Guthorm faces the horde, alone.
After having his two friends Asturr and Ornolf felled in battle taking down the Ork Warboss, it was Guthorm alone who charged over the burnt corpses of his bloodclaws to blow up the enemy Battlewagon, felling two Nobs, damaging the buggies and wounding the weirdboy trailing behind the formation. The rocking explosion bought the Freeblade knight the time it needed to finally snap out of the virus, but his weapons were malfunctioning and Guthorm's sacrifice would not be in vain.
The surviving marines dragged their wounded back in cover and made a tactical retreat, with the body of the disabled knight as cover from enemy fire.
The greenskin had claimed victory this day, and the Titan Yard was lost for their looting.
It had cost the lives of many battle brothers, but united by hatred of their foe and the vow of vengeance for their Wolf Lord, the hunters stalk their prey and will soon find their opportunity to strike a fatal blow.
