[hobby] Legions Imperialis - Building a city - Civitas Imperialis, Civitas Imperialis Administratum Sector and Spires
I ran out of primer so I had to find a sidequest, and I decided to build my Civitas Imperialis city.
Here is everything I managed to build:
A grand total of:
- 7x large buildings (3x3+)
- 6x medium buildings (3x2, 2x2, 4x1)
- 6x small buildings (2x1 or low profile 3x2)
- 3x large spires
- 4x small spire toppers
Namely:
- Cathedral
- Overhead bridge
- Large Storage
- The covered plaza
- Library
- Sector Palace
- Large Civitas
- Medium Civitas
- Medium Civitas
- Small Civitas
- Small Civitas
- Narrow living quarters
- Large Spire
- Medium Spires
- Turrets and Towers
- Reinforced Storage
- Open Plazas
- Minors Quarters
Here are all the buildings in more detail, followed by some building tips and work in progress.

Building tips
Corner Clips
Use binder clips to hold corners together as you build to get precise bonds on corners.
Build large ceilings first
If you will make a big building with a large roof, build the roof first so the walls have something to hold on to and stay straight.
Rubber Bands
If you want to use rubber bands to hold the building together while glue dries, wedge a spare roof section across the bottom to hold the proper size or the walls may slide in from the tension.
Mixing tall and smaller walls
If you want to mix the tall and small walls together you'll have to cut these tabs as they do not line up.
A note on modularity
As much as I tried the building walls are not straight and using the intended modularity is something I gave up on and just glued whole buildings together. Changing minute details of building shapes is not going to affect gameplay so much to be worth the trouble.
