The explorers are out again, but since we didn't have enough Clues to open the passage to the next dungeon, we decided to travel to the Blackstone Fortress for a regular delve into the unknown.
It all started pretty well with a dark corridor filled with Ur-Ghuls that tracked us when we were separate, until we got to the second exploration card and had an Ambush!
Luckly for us the central tile we where ambushed on was pretty filled with cover, but we had the misfortune of facing 4 Negavolt Cultists, that was scary and resulted in a Grievous Wound on Locarno early on!
We decided to retreat into the tile that had only a single Spindle Drone. After dispatching it we retreated there.
Locarno held the Negavolt Cultists at bay until we could summon the exit elevator.
After escaping that ambush we got to a floor filled with Ur-Ghuls and Renegades, and luckily for UR-025, a single nearby Spindle Drone. The robot tech priest controlling the automata stated that it was his priority mission to retrieve that Spindle Drone for conversing with holy research, in the name of the machine god.
Janus Draik had some incredible action dice and managed to clear out the renegade guardsman with his flurry of attacks from the monofilament rapier. What a beast he can be in close quarters combat!
With a little help from Espern Locarno's psychic powers, the Spindle Drone was dragged into range of UR-025 so he could capture the construct in search of another AI acquire this heretical Abominable Intellect for purging.
We ran out of time to delve deeper that night, but our explorers are in the elevator and we have drawn yet another ambush! Exciting times!
